Een opmerkelijke samenwerking tussen de cosmetische gigant Estée Lauder en reality ster/model Kendall Jenner. Zij is het nieuwe gezicht van Estée Lauder geworden. Estee Lauder wil met deze zet een jonger publiek aanspreken én die kan de 19-jarige Kendall met haar jonge netwerk (30 miljoen volgers) gemakkelijk bereiken.
“Although perhaps not a ‘prestige’ move, the company needs to attract a younger audience,” zegt Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. analyst voor Ali Dibadj. “Social media broadly, and this signing in particular, may be a step in the right direction for some of its brands.”
“I think I’m more honoured – to be a part of something with such amazing names involved,” aldus Kendall. “It’s something that I didn’t really expect to happen so quickly, it’s so crazy […] I just want to be the best me I can be, so having the power that social media has, I think that just seeing how many people care about you, and seeing how many people want to watch what you’re doing, it just really makes you want to do the best you can do. I just feel so incredibly blessed.”
